The strap is applied by pulling over the thumb and wrapping round the wrist and is fastened with the Velcro fastening. The degree of compression can be adjusted individually by tightening the strap on fastening and by the additional elastic strap.

Depending on where the pain is located, the strap covers the CMC joint or the back of the hand.
